Catching up, to say I'm never caught up

I started this blog to update the progress of projects in the library, and also to show what goes into maintaining a school library program. However, I've been busy offline getting things done while periodically getting pulled away from the library to work on other school related tasks (the subsitute shortage is real y'all). Here's a little bit about what I've been working August-November:

It basically feels like I've been doing all the things: Chromebook distribution, MAP testing, STEM programming, teaching a STEM class, building book orders, adding books to the collection, covering books, weeding, scheduling class visits, collaborating with teachers, and planning Grandparents day for the school and planning the School Spelling Bee.
All that to say- happy 2023 school year (uhhmm it's already November and almost 2024)!
My goals this year:
Build a community of readers and celebrate a love of books and reading
Develop the YA section of the library
Get comfortable seating in the library
Weed and genrefy the nonfiction section of the library
